2009 Missouri spring snow goose updates.

Squaw Creek NWR as of Feb 23, 2008

Feb. 23 2008 30 birds

Feb. 22 2008 35 birds @ 5pm, 43 total for the day.

Feb. 21 2008  21 birds

Feb. 20 2008 25 birds

Feb. 18 2008 Colder, 30`s.  NW wind 20-25 2 guides, 21 for the morning.

Feb. 17 2008 Temps in the 50`s S wind.  6 clients, 53 birds

Feb. 16 2008  First hunt of the season, afternoon hunt, 15 birds.

Dec. 18 2008  Warmed up into the single digits today, bird decoyed well.  18 shot today.

Dec. 17 2008  Tough hunt today, shot 3 birds.

Dec. 16 2008 Warmed up to  -5 today, 14 birds taken.

Dec. 15 2008  Despite -40 below temps, we managed 5 birds today.

Dec. 14 2008  Hunted til noon, birds did not feed today in the blizzard. 

Dec. 13 2008 6 man limit ( 30 birds) by noon.  Birds decoyed well ahead of the storm system.

Dec. 12 2008   Birds decoyed well ahead of front.  7 limits (14 birds)

Dec. 6 2008 Birds fed late after the snow and cold weather today.

Dec. 5, 2008  3 limits before it snowed.

Nov. 1,2008  2 limits this am with a banded bird.

Nov 9-17 DEER HUNTING,  We didn`t hunt geese during this season.

Nov. 24, 2008  3 limits, birds are very decoy and call shy right now.

Nov. 29, 2008   2 of us shot our limits with one banded bird.  Birds aren`t feeding until late afternoon now.

Nov. 30, 2008  only shot 3 birds today, and another banded bird!  Birds didn`t leave town until 4:30pm to feed.
